We are dedicated to offering educational advocacy, behavioral and instructional support, as well as training and resources that empower families and individuals to effectively interact with special education systems and related services.

What Sets Us Apart
Dr. Michele S. McKoy, our esteemed Managing Director, brings over 31 years of invaluable experience in the field of Special Education. Dr. McKoy’s educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising from North Carolina A & T State University, a Master of Education specializing in K-12 Special Education from Bowie State University, and a doctorate in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Behavioral Health from Grand Canyon University.
Throughout her career, Dr. McKoy has held diverse roles within K-12 education, ranging from a special education classroom teacher to Crisis Intervention Resource Teacher, Itinerant Resource Teacher, and Special Program Coordinator for students with emotional or behavioral disorders. She has also served as a central office Special Education Instructional Specialist and interim assistant supervisor for specialized programs catering to students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders.
On the collegiate level, Dr. McKoy has shared her expertise as an adjunct professor at various colleges in the Maryland area, focusing on educating prospective teachers on the fundamentals of special education and working with students with emotional disabilities. Currently, Dr. McKoy dedicates her time to coaching and mentoring multiple schools in Prince George’s County, Maryland, where she works closely with special education teachers to navigate the intricacies of the special education process.
Dr. McKoy’s wealth of experience and commitment to the field of Special Education are foundational to the ethos of our organization, guiding our mission to provide exceptional support and advocacy services to families, youth, and young adults.
